We are particularly pleased to announce the topic for the January meeting, QRM – Quick Response Manufacturing.

Speaker: Bill Ritchie

Our presenter is Bill Ritchie, Principal of Customer Chain Consulting. Bill  is an operations consultant with more than 25 years experience in general management and operations with several firms, including two divisions of Textron (Union Pump and Cone Drive). Since 1998, Bill has led three QRM improvement programs that generated dramatic growth in profitability while reducing cost and inventory. He now consults with companies and their suppliers to boost profitability and cash flow by reducing their lead time throughout their entire Customer Chain. Bill is certified by Dr. Rajan Suri to provide QRM training.

Topic: QRM – Quick Response Manufacturing

Today's theater of competition for manufacturing firms is speed — not only speed of delivery, but of concept, design and production. New doors open for those who can get products to market before the competition, and success hinges on the ability to respond quickly.

Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) is a companywide strategy to cut lead times in all phases of manufacturing and office operations. It can bring your products to market more quickly and secure your business prospects by helping you compete in a rapidly changing manufacturing arena. It will increase profitability by reducing non–value–added time, cutting inventory and increasing return on investment.
